"Every person has the right to education and to have access to vocational and continuing training".

Article 14 of the Charter of fundamental rights of the European Union.
"All Greeks have a right to free education at all levels in State schools". Article 16 of the Greek Constitution.

Simple, without exceptions and asterisks, the two texts that permeate the European democratic culture establish the right to education and guaranteeing the right of detainees to continue their studies with sabbaticals. What Nikos Romanos defends, and the Greek State of the refuse, risking the very right to life. And it is the same State that had paid the balls that dropped in his lap, dead, the 15 year-old friend.
The double rejection of the just demand of Nikos Romanos puts us all our responsibilities. None of us has the right to remain silent. We defend the inalienable right to education, which the State deprives of the hypocritical, playing between the Executive and the judiciary. We defend the right to life.
The laws must apply to everyone. We respect the legitimate and legally acquired rights of all prisoners.
